Our Sixth Form provision is first class, with teaching of the highest calibre, a highly supportive pastoral structure and an amazingly dynamic, friendly and supportive student ethos. The new ‘Darwin Centre’ provides wonderful facilities for students to study, to explore their career options and to socialise.
We take about 160 students into Year 12 each year, including around 50 new entrants, both boys and girls. New students are welcomed enthusiastically by those who started further down the school and it quickly becomes difficult to tell them apart.
The Sixth Form at KEGS provides students with an extraordinary range of opportunities to broaden their academic horizons and to develop as independent learners; we insist that students enrol on a challenging A level programme.
They are also encouraged and enabled to take initiative, develop leadership skills and contribute to local and international community projects and expeditions. Preparation for university and employment has a high profile in the Sixth Form and every year the majority of our students successfully obtain places at prestigious universities of their choice.
