Trips, Visits and Exchanges

We believe strongly that students need to have the richest possible experience during their time at KEGS. During the course of each year, students can join in one of the many trips, visits and exchanges that take place. In 2009 we celebrated the 50th anniversary of our German exchange with the Wirtemberg Gymnasium in Stuttgart. We also have a long running exchange with our French partner school. A small group of students is able to visit Mogonjet School in Kenya to support their school development work, painting classrooms, teaching lessons and building friendships.

DofE expeditions and CCF camps run each year and, every two years, students take part in World Challenge expeditions, planned for Madagascar and Uganda in 2010. Recent trips have taken students to CERN in Geneva, the European Parliament, Space Camp in Alabama, Barcelona for Art A level, Iceland for Geography A level and Barbados for a two-week cricket tour.

Within the curriculum, students take part in a number of trips to support their class-based learning. These include trips to London galleries for Art and to Ypres and the Duxford War Museum for History.
